Comedy Night

The Liberty Corner Fire Company, an all-volunteer fire and rescue organization in the Liberty Corner section of Bernards Township, will have the return of its biannual comedy night in the ballroom of the firehouse at 95 Church St, Liberty Corner, NJ.

This year’s line up includes a trio of comics who play from New York to California, ABC to Comedy Central, star in films and theatre and are guaranteed to entertain.

As a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and (“moral") bankruptcy lawyer, it was unlikely that Talia's comedy career would start off in bar basements and midnight open mics, but that's where her soul was redeemed. Her set is high-energy, quick paced and autobiographical. The New York Post recently featured a nearly full-page article about her life and comedy entitled, "Orthodox Jewish comic finds balance between raunch and religion," and called her a "Hot Ticket.” Talia has opened for Caroline Rhea and Nick DiPaolo. Her affable stage presence and sharp wit have also garnered her appearances on Sirius XM Radio, The Wendy Williams Show and Spike TV. Newsday Long Island has also taken notice, calling her a "rising star.” Talia works regularly at The World Famous Comic Strip in New York City, The Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ and Mohegan Sun in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Don’t miss the chance to see this lady of laughter in action!

Mike Burton started doing stand-up comedy in 1996 and moved up the ladder quickly becoming a regular in the top New York City clubs including The World Famous Comic Strip, Carolines On Broadway and The Broadway Comedy Club. He’s getting known around the country in the comedy clubs as an act you don’t want to miss. Mike has been the warm-up guy for daytime shows Rachel Ray and The View and ABC’s The Revolution. He has been seen in front of the camera on Comedy Central, AXS’ Gotham Comedy Live and most recently taped his very own Drybar Comedy Special! Don’t miss the chance to see his high-energy act live!

New York favorite Joey Vega has been entertaining audiences his whole adult life. As an actor, he has been featured in such high profile films as “Rounders” with Matt Damon, “Row Your Boat”, “An Eastside Story,” and “Punchline” with Tom Hanks. On television Joey is ever-present, landing roles on The Sopranos, Law and Order and Trinity. Joey was also a staff writer on “Lopez Tonight.” “Acting is great, but performing comedy in front of a live audience is my first love.” Whether it’s a packed house at Mohegan Sun or in front of 20,000 people at Madison Square Garden as both Marc Anthony and Chris Rock’s favorite opening act, Joe has so much fun on stage that you can’t help but have a great time watching him. Joe has appeared on all the major comedy shows too, including Comedy Central’s “Comic Groove,” A&E’s “Comedy On The Road,” “Caroline’s Comedy Hour,” FOX’s “Comic Strip Live” and many others. Whether it be on stage or screen, keep your eye out for more major appearances from Joey in the very near future and beyond.
